The falling of America and slavery of Women in 2019

New Lexington, Ohio is a highly Republican-dominated area, it is obvious, but the motions taking over our state and country now are bringing about problems that our nation has faced in the past and fixed. So why are we repeating history?

For a country that has leaped over Civil Rights and Women’s Rights in the past millennium, the degression has started and is quickly growing as fast as a snowball does when rolled.

In April of 2019, Ohio’s Governor Mike DeWine signed a bill imposing the “Heartbeat Bill,” which made abortion illegal after the first sign of a heartbeat was discovered, which could be as early as six weeks - a time many women do not even realize they are pregnant.

Oh, and don’t forget about the fact that contraceptions are considered forms of murder, which would put a woman who miscarried in jail if she has ever in her life used a contraception, thank you, Georgia.

Georgia passed an extreme attack on an age-old court case, Roe vs. Wade, set to take effect in 2020.

Brian Kemp, Governor of Georgia, signed the law, HB 481, which is going to allow prosecutors to file criminal charges against women who get abortions, and ones who miscarry, redefining abortion as, “the act of using, prescribing, or administering any instrument, substance, device, or other means with the purpose to terminate a pregnancy.”

Women who miscarry could be held liable for second-degree murder with HB 481, stating that if a woman who miscarries because of her own conduct would be liable, and punishable by 10-30 years in prison.

Just last week, the ball grew with the new law in Alabama banning all abortions, which passed through the Alabama Senate.

The new bill is to ban all abortions at every stage of pregnancy, with exceptions only if the mother’s life is threatened. The bill also makes abortion a felony, and doctors and surgeons who perform the act could face up to 99 years in prison.

If a woman is raped, the rapist could face 0-10 years in prison for their act, but, to our new government that is taking over our nation like a Dictatorship, rape victims do not have viable reason to have their unborn fetus aborted.

How is it that our nation has come to an age when rapists face little to no time in prison, and doctors who help women could face life in prison?

Yes, there are those women who want to take advantage of a man and get pregnant, but that is a WANT.

Women who have futures ahead of them, or women who have accidental pregnancies should not be held accountable for a mistake that could harm their future careers.

Perry County is filled with plenty of young women who are talented, intellectual and eager to take on the world, but God forbid a pregnancy happens because they would not be able to do anything about it, or fulfill their futures.

We are moving backward on the timeline, removing women’s rights to their own bodies and ignoring the fact that women can control their own bodies.

If religion plays into Pro-Life, like many might use as their weapon, not all Gods are the same for everyone.

Your God is increasingly Pro-Choice.

Your God has murdered newborns.

Your God has no place in medicine and healthcare.

Your God is not the same as everyone else’s.

“All life is a good life,” or “Abortion is Murder,” no. All women have choices when it comes to THEIR bodies because the fetus is a part of THEIR body!

“Why can’t you give it up for Adoption,” or “Give it to a family who can’t have their own,” are not reasons to force women to put their bodies through the ultimate sacrifice of morning sickness, and the actual turmoil of labor, again, it goes back to “My body, my choice!”

“Healthcare should not kill a heartbeat,” or “This wouldn’t happen if you were just smart and responsible.”

Does that same idea apply to when a person gets hurt/punished physically for other acts?

If you get hurt while playing outside, the healthcare system helps you.

If you get in a wreck, the healthcare system helps you.

If you break bones in a sport, the healthcare system helps you.

Why should a healthcare system not help when it comes to the bad of another activity?

There are four basic effects of banning abortion in America:

1: The child will be abandoned at birth and the dumpster babies will arise again.

2: The child will be raised in an abusive family because the mother, or both mother and father, do not want the child.

3: The child will be put in the already messed up and overcrowded Foster Care system where there are over 15,000 children in the system in just the State of Ohio, according Ohio Foster Care and Adoption.

4: The amount of women deaths will increase because they will be taking on unsafe ways to abort, causing major health/life risks.

I know I am about to be slightly political, but why are old men making the body decisions for women?

What happened to Women’s Rights, or did that piece of history just magically vanish?

In Roe vs. Wade, the Court ruled that, “the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution provides a fundamental "right to privacy" that protects a pregnant woman's liberty to choose whether or not to have an abortion.”

With debating occurring throughout the nation about the powerful Republican Senators, the Court’s ruling would completely be overturned, just like Women’s Rights are at the moment.

Pro-Life supporters are angry with Pro-Choice supporters because their idea is that Pro-Choice is Pro-Abortion.

Here comes a shocker….it’s not the same thing.

Pro-Choice means that a woman just have an option about a child being born into her body, an option she can either terminate or carry on.

Yes, I am a young woman, but I am not writing this for me, I am writing this for the other women in Ohio, Alabama and Georgia who have to fight for their word to be heard.

I am scared for the women in our country because I know that, if there were a possibility that a man could get pregnant, this would not be happening.

So, welcome to the new Ohio, where women are second-class citizens.

Welcome to Alabama, where it is a giant nightmare for women.

Welcome to Georgia, where everyone is inserted into a woman’s personal life.
